Rose hydrosol is made through steam distillation of fresh rose petals. In this process, rose petals are placed in a distillation apparatus where steam passes through them, releasing the plant’s essential oils and aromatic compounds. The steam then travels through a cooling system where it condenses into a liquid. This liquid separates into two layers: the essential oil (rose oil) and the water-based distillate known as rose hydrosol.
It contains trace amounts of rose oil and the water-soluble compounds of the plant, making it lighter and more suitable for sensitive skin. it has several industrial applications across various sectors like Cosmetics & Personal Care, Food & Beverage, Fragrance & Perfume, Pharmaceutical & Therapeutic Products, Aromatherapy & Spa Industry.
